2018
Sat 29 Sept: Stockport - The Blossoms, with The Kirkz, Hoax, Eye Licker and Kringer & the Battle Katz. Promoted by Adam Pancake.
Sat 29 Sept: Farnworth - Snooker Club, with Carnivar, The Mighty Bossmags and many more It was the closing down night at the venue, which over the years has staged some of the best DIY parties on the UK scene. It was a pleasure to be part of it, and to give the old place the send-off it deserved. Organised by Gamberro, Unsy and Dazzler.
Sat 22 Sept: St. Helens - The Rendezvous, with Def Neon, Hummer and The Crash Mats. The sixth annual bash at this time of year, gathering food for St. Helens Foodbank, The P.A. conked out near the end, and Kamil Packo - electrician to the stars - saved the day.
Sat 15 Sept: Northwich - The Salty Dog, with Sinful Maggie, One Man Stand, The Mighty Bossmags, Reckless (BE), Bogans, Same As It Ever Woz. The venue had just been listed in The Good Beer Guide, which is some achievement for any pub, let alone one that has only been in business for a year and a bit. Congratulations to Bundie and friends.
Sat 18 Aug: Liverpool - Maguire's Pizza Bar, with Sonic Rednecks, Spam Javelin and Hummer. Sharrock filled in on drums for Spam Javelin at very short notice - four hours! - and spent the time before going on stage sat in his Berlingo listening to the tunes and making notes. He survived.
Sun 17 Jun: Northwich - The Salty Dog, with Kringer and the Battle Kats and The Riot Gang (from St. Petersburg).
Sat 3 March: Warrington - The Old Town House, with W.O.R.M. and CUT. The Kingcrows had to pull out at short notice, but we managed to land Italian legends CUT to replace them, at even shorter notice. They remain one of the best live bands we have ever played with.
Fri 16 Feb: St. Helens - The George, with Def Neon. This was the fourth annual George bash, and a bloody good laugh it was. Def Neon went down a storm.
Sat 3 Feb: Lancaster - The Bobbin, Stef Leppard's birthday party, with The Crippens, Epic Problem, Zero Hour, Hospital Food, May Contain Nuts, Razorblade Smile, Bleed and Hummer. Paul Carter pulled out, due to illness. Ste L. was comprehensively hungover, having ended his Friday night out at 6am on Saturday. He made it on to the pitch, though, and lasted 90 minutes.
